5G RF Downconverter to Extend the Range of Existing Equipment
The ThinkRF D2030 RF Downconverter is built on patented and highly innovative software-defined radio (SDR) technologies to extend the frequency range of existing RF signal detectors and other 3G/4G test equipment to the 27 – 30 GHz bands. Maintain your existing hardware, interface, and software while conducting RF measurements and 5G analysis. The D2030 RF Downconverter enables additional capabilities for mobile operators, field operations technicians and wireless equipment providers without requiring a significant investment in new spectrum analysis equipment.
Compact, Versatile, and Portable Frequency Downconversion
The ThinkRF D2030 RF Downconverter is engineered to work seamlessly with existing spectrum analysis equipment by downconverting RF from the 27-30 GHz frequency bands down to an intermediate frequency (IF) of 3.55 GHz or 5.6 GHz.
Measuring 7.5’’ x 8.5’’ x 1’’ and weighing less than 2lbs, this 5G RF downconverter features a compact design that makes it portable, versatile, and easy to use for 5G analysis in any deployment scenario without adding significant size, weight, and power (SWaP) requirements. +12 VDC at 6 W allows it to be powered by an external battery, vehicle power outlet for increased mobility or standard power supply with plug adaptor.
Open, Easy to Use with Minimal Training Requirements
The D2030 RF Downconverter works with your existing test equipment, RF signal detectors, and interfaces, meaning there’s minimal training requirements for users. The open platform works seamlessly with current spectrum analysis solutions through standard SCPI control over Ethernet, allowing the user to control the unit through the spectrum analyzer or any standard PC.
Synchronize Multiple Units for Increased Performance
ThinkRF has created a 5G RF downconverter that features 10 MHz input and output clock references for multi-unit synchronization. As 5G mobile and wireless communications technologies continue to draw upon wider bandwidths and higher frequencies, users can run multiple units in parallel to monitor, detect, and analyze these signals at a lower cost and without replacing their current investment in RF signal detectors.
